"Following Tradition, Breathed with Contemporary Spirit"
"The Transformative Power of Art"

Cansu Arzu Özden, born in 1970 in Ankara, currently resides in the same city. After graduating from the Faculty of Business Administration at Bilkent University, she began her career as a petroleum economist at Türkiye Petrolleri Anonim Ortaklığı (TPAO) in 1997. Although the artist continued her career in a different discipline, her passion for art began in her childhood and has remained strong throughout her life. She started her figurative painting work in 2003 using acrylic materials, and in recent years, she has predominantly used oil paints.

In the artist's acrylic-based works, the themes of "rose," and in her oil paintings, the themes of "water" and "woman" are prominent. Continuing her artistic search with explorations of existence and awareness, the artist embraces the accumulated knowledge from the past while also staying current, undergoing an evolving process in a balanced journey.

Özden has continued her search and practices in various artistic disciplines, including the digital realm, in recent years. She pursued her creative journey at the "Artdoradas" workshop, which she co-founded with Banu Üçüncüoğlu. Since 2022, she has been working in her own studio. She has also conducted long-term workshop sessions with artist Fatih Kahya. Throughout her artistic career, Cansu Arzu Özden has participated in numerous exhibitions and art events. Her first solo exhibition, "Gülümse," took place in 2007, followed by her second solo exhibition, "Deniz Kokusu," in 2023 in Ankara. Her third solo exhibition, "Denizin Nefesi," was held in Samsun, and her fourth solo exhibition will be at Bakraç Art Gallery in Istanbul in 2024. In 2021, she organized a memorial exhibition for "Serdar Karakılçık" in Ankara under the Artdoradas organization. Her works have been displayed at international art fairs such as ARTANKARA in 2022, Bodrum Art Fair in 2023, ARTANKARA again in 2024, IAAF İzmir, ARTNOUVA Ankara, and Mersin Art Fair. She continues to work full-time on her art.
